Body Bags

- How important is U.S. health care reform? So much so that we Canada has a former Conservative Prime Minister, Brian Mulroney, supporting President Obama's bid for health care reform. Now not all Canadians are perfect: Current PM Harper declined to rally behind Obama as health care is a provincial, not federal, issue. Weaksauce.

- Isn't this nice: You live in an isolated northern town and to protect the people from the H1N1 virus, you're sent...body bags? I would laugh if only it was funny. We're told not to go to the hospital, don't overreact, just use Purell and all will be fine. Is there something Health Canada would like to tell us?

- The NHL scheduling needs to be revisited. Three pretty much guaranteed sellouts at Scotibank Place: Detroit Red Wings, San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks, won't be visiting Ottawa this year.

- I'm staying off pizza for the next little while. Too much sodium and cheese. It doesn't help that when I order one, one piece turns into two pieces, which turns into four and next thing you know the whole pie is gone. Maybe I just shouldn't be left alone with a pizza...

- Why that big good-bye for Jay Leno when the only thing has changed is that he's on 90 minutes earlier than before?
