Chris Simon has got to be the biggest meathead in the NHL. I was watching some morons on Off the Record claim each incident should be ruled independently and their past history should have no bearing on their punishment.

I disagree.

Simon has already been suspended 6 or 7 times by the league for his reckless behaviour, with his two-handed tomahawk chops to the head definitely take the cake. He's been in the league for about 15 years and he's 35 years old; I believe in giving people a second chance, but obviously Simon hasn't learned his lesson.

So his latest contribution to the league, where he attempts to amputate Jarkko Ruutu at the ankle, should be the last straw. I say boot him out of the league.
