No Internet

For the third time in three weeks, Rogers arbitrarily shut down my internet access because they say one of three PCs in my home got a virus. They couldn't tell me from where or what application was used to get it, all they could tell me was that we're taking you're internet access away.

So I'm going to be trying to find another internet provider in the interim. I should be back to blogging shortly.

Comments:
Ridiculous. You should be able to run as many freakin viruses on your PC as you want. Unless it's bringing down their network, then it's none of Rogers business. And if it is bringing down their network then Rogers needs to resolve it at their end, not by cutting off their customers.

Ben, you need to switch to DSL right now. Rogers is just plain aweful.

No kidding. I've never heard of this before.

How did you get it turned back on before? Let me know if you need help cleaning out your machine after you're back down to one PC on the system when John departs. I became an expert a while back on getting rid of those tough registry bugs that keep coming back.

PS - YET ANOTHER new blog entry!
