Hike for a Cure
My friends Marc & Tracy are attempting to raise funds through something called "Hike for a Cure", where all money raised goes to cancer research. This specific event involves them taking a 100km hike starting from Parliament Hill through Gatineau Park until they reach Wakefield to camp overnight and then return home.
One of their fundraising ideas they wanted me to pass along is their poker tournament that will take place on Sunday, September 9th @ 1pm. This cost is $20 with a voluntary 50% contribution of this fee to Hike for a Cure. It should be a fun afternoon, and yours truly will be one of the many (hopefully!) participants that day.
