The Continuing Adventures of Best Buy Purchases...
You might recall sometime ago I was trying in vain to get the ever elusive purple Canon SD30 camera. I have been monitoring the price weekly, waiting for it to go on sale and try to get the most buying power from the gift cards my friends got for me for my birthday. Well, I was happy to see that the retail price dropped to $299.99 as it has been hovering around the $399.99 mark for some time now. And during this time, I also figured the red over the violet camera was the way to go. Anyway, I went to both the east and west end locations to try to buy it, both stores were sold out but that's not the story.
The story is that aside from the suggested retail price dropping, the store clerk informed me that one of the cameras was on sale. "One?" "Yes, you asked for the red one, but at this time, ONLY THE VIOLET ONE IS ON SALE."
If you are a regular reader of the blog, you'd understand why that's funny.
Anyway, none of the colours were in stock so it doesn't really matter. The wait continues...

Good thing your principals made you hold out when "only" the red one was on sale. Will it make you walk away in discust now that "only" the violet one is? Is it not hitting the same nerve?

Wow. What a dilemna...I can only imagine the pain and anguish SBP would go through if the force f/x DOUBLE-bladed Darth Maul only came in violet.

My apologies to the late, great Darth Maul who most certainly does not come in violet. I forgot to add the word lightsaber. Let's try it again: force f/x DOUBLE-bladed Darth Maul LIGHTSABER.

On a serious note: You should be looking at a camera based on it's performance, low-light capabilities, optical zoom, storage capacity and battery power. Red's nice and all, and I'm sure it goes with your Sens jersey, but...
Also: Why don't you check store stock from Best Buy online instead of driving out to both locations? What with the price of gas these days and such.
Or, you know, call 'em.

1. I respect your Panasonic purchase. Canon has a good rep and now a good price, so I'll stick with it.
2. I'm not purchasing a Darth Maul lightsaber, red or violet
